How It Works
At Sanford and Sons Frozen, we make it easy to access quality seafood whenever you need it. Perfect for large gatherings, community events, or stocking up for the year, explore our extensive selection of frozen fish and seafood online to suit any occasion.
Ordering
First, browse our great range of frozen seafood. Choose whatever takes your fancy, decide how much you want, and add it to your cart. As you finalise your order, choose what day you want your seafood delivered to your door – perfectly packed and frozen.
Delivery
We are all about convenience, therefore you choose the day you would like your seafood delivered! We deliver to Auckland addresses only, Tuesday to Friday, excluding some areas. Refer to Shipping Costs for postcode delivery details. Due to the nature of the product we can’t deliver to Post Office boxes. We also don’t deliver on weekends or public holidays.
If you have specific instructions for the courier, you can leave a note in the delivery instructions in the checkout. Our courier partner will deliver your order between 12-6pm on the date of your delivery. Don’t worry if you are not home at the time of delivery, our packaging is designed to keep your seafood frozen.
All orders are shipped overnight.

We confirm the cost once you enter your delivery address at checkout. As a guide, our standard delivery costs are:

Packaging
Your seafood is delivered in insulated poly-bins with frozen gel packs so everything stays frozen throughout delivery. Once picked up from our site, your order goes straight into our courier partners freezer once they arrive at the depot. If you’re not at home when your delivery arrives, our courier partner leaves it somewhere safe and out of direct sunlight so it stays perfectly frozen for when you unpack it later that day.
Polystyrene Bin
Our poly-bins can be recycled via The Household Polystyrene Recycling Programme that is available at selected hardware stores throughout New Zealand or via your local council. They are also great to keep on hand and reuse on long car trips, picnics, or even getting your frozen items home from the grocery store. You are also welcome to bring them back - intact - to our retail store at 22 Jellicoe Street, Freemans Bay, 1010.
Gel Packs
Once our gel packs have done their job of keeping your order frozen, they can be used again by popping them back in the freezer to re-freeze. They can also be disposed of safely by emptying the contents into the garden or into your general waste, clean and dry the plastic packaging and take it to your local soft plastics recycling bin.
